The APEN MPD–3PH is an intelligent Three Phase Digital Motor Protection Device designed for advanced and reliable protection of electric motors.
Powered by a high-performance microcontroller, it continuously monitors current and voltage to safeguard motors from phase failure, phase reversal, voltage imbalance, overload, and dry run.
The device provides auto and manual operation, bypass options, and real-time monitoring of voltage and current through a digital display.

Microcontroller-Based Intelligent Control:
Equipped with a powerful microcontroller for precise and reliable fault detection and motor protection.
All parameters are digitally processed for high accuracy and stability.
Auto & Manual Operation:
In Auto Mode, the motor starts automatically within 45 seconds after power resumes — no need to press the start button.
In Manual Mode, the motor can be controlled through the Start and Stop push buttons.
Phase Failure Protection:
Automatically detects loss of any phase and stops the motor instantly.
This prevents the motor from running on two phases, which can otherwise burn the winding.
Phase Reversal / Phase Sequence Protection:
Protects the motor from incorrect phase rotation.
If any of the three phases are interchanged, the motor’s direction reverses, and the unit trips immediately to avoid winding damage.
Phase Unbalance / Voltage Difference Protection:
Ensures all three-phase voltages remain balanced.
If voltage difference between any two phases exceeds the set limit, the unit stops the motor and displays a fault message.
Overload Protection:
Continuously measures the load current and trips the motor if the current exceeds the set overload limit for a defined time.
The overload current is adjustable from 1A to 80A.
Dry Run Protection (Current Based):
If the motor runs without water or load, its current drops below the normal running value.
When current falls below the set dry run limit, the MPD–3PH stops the motor automatically to prevent damage.
Dry run current is adjustable from 2A to 75A.
Voltage Protection:
High Voltage Protection – trips motor when supply exceeds the preset upper voltage limit.
Low Voltage Protection – stops motor if voltage falls below the safe level.
Voltage limits are fully adjustable.
Cyclic Timer with Bypass Facility:
Allows the user to run the motor in automatic ON–OFF cycles.
Timer function can be bypassed when not required.
Delay Timer & ON/OFF Delay Control:
Built-in delay timers help avoid false tripping during voltage fluctuation or motor starting.
Both ON delay and OFF delay timings are adjustable and can be bypassed if needed.
Auto Restart (Auto Switch Function):
When power goes off and returns, the unit automatically restarts the motor after a preset time.
The auto restart timer is fully adjustable and can be disabled through settings.
Protection Bypass Facility:
All protections such as overload, dry run, high/low voltage, and timer functions can be bypassed individually from the settings menu.
Useful for testing and maintenance.
Digital Display for Monitoring:
